Our Swallows and Amazons kids club is on Sundays. The times are 9.30am - 11.30pm and 12pm - 2pm. The price is £15 per child. Please call to book your space! Book your space now.
Swallows and Amazons is the title of the long existing Kids Club which is every Sunday afternoon. The purpose of this club allows children from 6yrs and upwards and of any ability to meet others and explore and have fun, searching out the beaches, local estuary’s, creeks and rivers whilst learning the ways of the sea.
During the session some skills both on and off the water will be taught along-side the related games offered by our experienced instructors.
This is a fun session to build water confidence and safety awareness with lots of games and getting wet! The idea is to provide a fun filled introduction to sailing.
What they will Need
A swimsuit to wear under the wetsuit. A pair of trainers or wet shoes, sun-cream, lots of energy and a towel. If you have a wetsuit then you are welcome to bring it but this will be provided. It is too cold for shortie wetsuits.
Cost for the session will be £15 per child
Family Sailing
The chance to learn something together! The purpose of these sessions are to enjoy new adventures together with the chance to get afloat with the safety and skill of our instructors. To build experience and relax in this beautiful environment. No prior experience is required and all ages can be catered for from 6yrs to grandparent, the whole family can enjoy it together. You can either all go together on a 24 foot keelboat (J24) with an instructor on board or we can get you into the smaller dinghies.
Introduction Sessions
If you have experience in one type of vessel, you may wish to try something else, be it single handed, trapezing, or spinnaker work or our keelboat. Our fleet combines many different craft big and small, so let us know if you wish to broaden your horizons.
Skippered Excursions
Maybe you just want to get afloat to relax, fish or explore any part of Carrick Roads. We can provide a skipper and appropriate craft to make it a real joyride!
So come on down to Mylor with your children and let them explore our beautiful sailing waters and take on a new challenge. Total beginners are our speciality with highly trained and experienced RYA Instructors on hand to ensure a safe, fun experience.
All students must be confident in the water.
