Wheelyboat Engine is on!!

The new and upgraded Wheelyboat Engine is now ready and waiting!  ‘Odyssey’ now has a 90hp on her and this means some fast exhillerating speed!

Thanks to everyone who donated through Crowdfunder, generally emptied their piggy banks, held events, ran miles, auctioned their personal possessions.  THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!  You have made this possible.

This wheelchair friendly powerboat can take up to 7 passengers.  RYA Instructor onboard at all times.  You do not have to be a wheelchair user to book a session on this boat.  This boat can be brought into the slipway and the front door lowers down for ease of boarding with dignity.  All passengers, including wheelchair users can also helm (drive) the boat as it has a removable chair at the steering wheel.  RYA Award scheme and Powerboat Level 2 licenses available.

This is the new version ‘Coulam V20’.  It has a fibreglass hull, and a winch controlled door at the front that lowers down for boarding.

The Wheelyboat Trust is an organisation who design, manufacture and raise a % of the funds to build the boats.  This is mainly for not for profit organisations to get people on the water with any kind of mobility issue or wheelchair user.  See their website here for further information.
