Cornwall Tourism Awards 2021/22!
We won gold!…. TWICE!
It is the day after the celebrations of the tourism awards (done over zoom this year due to covid) and we cannot actually believe it! Mylor Sailing and Powerboat School won gold at the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2021/22 in two categories and we are absolutely delighted!
We are so grateful to win the first award in the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism category. This is such an important part of our business and charity arm, Mylor Sailability, and we were up against such tough competition of brilliant other businesses in Cornwall. We have always tried to make being on the water accessible for all and the last two years we have made improvements to our operation to improve this further and we are proud of what we do and the memories we can make for families and hugely honoured to be recognised for our work.
The second category that we were a finalist for was Experience (Active or Learning) of the Year! We again are astonished to achieve gold, this is such a high accolade in Cornwall. This award particularly would not have been possible without the strong team we have at the training school. We are lucky to have so many individuals the believe in what we do and have the same vision as us and provide such unforgettable, brilliant and fun experiences for our customers.
These awards would also not have been possible without the support of our sponsors, we are lucky to have great local businesses helping to promote the work we do. These companies include Seasalt Clothing and The Shore Partnership. Please have a look at their websites for more information.
We cannot wait to receive our awards in person later this year and celebrate (hopefully in person) with some of the other great businesses and tourist attractions that won awards this year in Cornwall!
