The Best Beaches in and around Mylor and Falmouth

We think beach days are the best whatever time of year. We have put together our top 5 in and around Falmouth.


Gyllyngvase – Falmouth – TR11 4PA

Perfect for family days, making sand castles and swimming in the sea. It is also dog friendly from October – Easter, life guarded through the summer months.

Mylor – Mylor Harbour – TR11 5UF

Our local beach as it is just round the corner from the sailing school, it is a great place to watch the sessions! It also offers fantastic views across to the Roseland Peninsula. You can continue on the coast path round to Flushing – simply a lovely walk.

Swanpool – Falmouth – TR11 5BG

Known for its legendary ice creams, covered in extra delights. The hedgehog, ice cream covered in roasted hazelnuts is our favourite!

Flushing ( Kiln Quay ) – Falmouth – TR 5TZ

Maenporth – Near Falmouth – TR11 5HN

This little cove is the ideal spot on a walk on the coastal path for a cup of coffee or an ice cream. It is also stunning and a safe haven for a swim, sunbathe or a sit on the sand.
